{Charity Event} Beechwood Cancer Care Charity Fashion Show at The Mere

Last week I was invited to join friend and fellow photographer Dianne Biggs of http://www.cygnusphotography.co.uk/ to take photos at a charity fashion show event for the Beechwood Cancer Care Centre.

The fashion show was held at The Mere Golf Course and Country Club, and was to raise money for the Beechwood Cancer Care centre in Stockport.  It was sponsored by Debenhams who provided the clothes to be used on the catwalk, and the fashion show was done by The Fashion Show Company.

We had a fantastic day at this  wonderful event! All of the guests, dressed up to the nines, were welcomed with a glass of wine and time to browse the stalls, and were then treated to a three course lunch with entertainments. A beautifully choreographed fashion show followed, with a dazzling show of outfits for all occasions from Debenhams.

Towards the end of the show, six more beautiful  models joined the show, all of whom have received treatment or care for cancer at Beechwood.

All of these images, plus many more from the event (guests, fashion show, stalls and stall holders) can be purchased as prints from Dianne’s Cygnus Photography webiste : http://www.cygnusphotography.co.uk/

Beechwood day centre opened its doors in 1990 to help anyone who’s life has been affected by the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Beechwood was the first place in Stockport to provide cancer support services under one roof, by creating a safe haven for patients and providing counseling and alternative therapies. However over time Beechwood has become more and more in demand and they now offer a range of free support including 1 to 1 talk time, complementary therapies and group sessions to help patients, family members and carers cope with all the problems they may have to face.
